On December 22nd Katy got an interview with a hospital in Roseburg, Oregon. On the 23rd she got a call from her agent at CompHealth saying she had been offered the job and they wanted her to start January 24th. That was earlier then we had anticipated starting somewhere, but we said yes and decided to go for it. When we looked at a map we realized we'd probably take about 5 days to get out to Oregon as it would take around 45 hours of driving time, and then we looked at a calendar and realized we had about three weeks to get the house packed up, for Katy to study and PASS her boards, and for us to get all our paper work in line in terms of renting our house and Katy's Oregon licensure. It was a daunting task ahead of us, but we knew we could do it. We were gambling a little bit by going ahead and renting our house and signing a contract for Katy to work in Oregon...you see, all of that was contingent on Katy passing her boards...the pressure was on!

Graduation!
We had to start the blog somewhere, and it seemed like graduation was as good a place as any. Katy graduated on December 12th with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Elon University. It was a wonderful time to celebrate with friends and family the culmination of three years of hard work. By graduation Katy had signed with a travel therapy company, CompHealth, but we did not yet know where we were headed. New Mexico, Oregon, and Texas were the front runners, but at this point there was still a lot of uncertainty.....
